Dirt Church! 2026 Season

Dirt Church is an event we started in Summer 2024 to bring people together who share common interests in sustainability and building community.

We come together every Tuesday from 5:30-sunset through the end of October to work on maintaining our permaculture garden – and while it’s a great opportunity to get your hands dirty and learn about gardening, it’s also a space to meet people from all walks of life who you may have more in common with than you think.

Some of the activities we do throughout the season include:
  • Weeding and maintaining the garden beds
  • Planting (early season)
  • Mulching the pathways between the beds
  • Turning our compost chambers
  • Harvesting vegetables and herbs when they are ripe for picking

We’ve come across the same story many times in our GROW community – people who are looking to get more involved in their local community and become more connected to the natural world at large, but don’t know exactly where to start. Dirt Church is a great place to begin!
