2026 United We Read (Dickson County)
United We Read Day of Action 2026
When: Wednesday, March 4th
9:00 AM – 10:0 AM at The Learning Loft
What: Join us for a heartwarming and impactful event that fosters a love of reading in young children! We are seeking passionate volunteers to read to children ages 0-5 at The Learning Loft. Volunteers will be assigned to a classroom, where you’ll engage with the children through the magic of storytelling. Feel free to bring your favorite childhood book, or choose from the academy’s library.
In addition to reading, United Way of Greater Nashville is collecting donations for essential classroom supplies to support educators who are preparing students for kindergarten. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to assist in the drop-off of these supplies. Our goal is to equip teachers with the resources they need and to inspire young minds with a lifelong love of reading.
Volunteers will be required to complete a background check through Safe Screener after signing up for this event, please be on the lookout for a link to be sent to you for completion closer to the event date.
