Grand Opening Celebration: Croquet Cafe and Centennial Park Pavilion

 
Join us to help staff the Grand Opening Celebration of the new Centennial Park Event Pavillion and the Croquet Cafe!

We need volunteers all day, but feel free to sign up and then email the "Opportunity Leader" below with the specific times you will be available if you aren't able to commit to the entire day with us.

Organization Overview
Centennial Park Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works in partnership with Nashville’s Metro Parks to support Centennial Park and the Parthenon. The organization underwrites and presents a variety of enriching programs that make a widespread imprint on the Nashville community and our visitors. Key programs include Nashville Parthenon exhibition and educational initiatives, Musicians Corner, Kidsville, and Nashville Earth Day. Centennial Park Conservancy is also partnering with Metro Parks on the Centennial Park Revitalization, a multi-phase transformation of the park that will preserve and enhance Nashville’s central park to better serve current and future generations.

What We Do
The mission of Centennial Park Conservancy is to sustain the vibrancy of Nashville’s Centennial Park, home to the historic Parthenon, by supporting Metro Parks in revitalizing and activating this public green space to ensure the park remains a welcoming destination for recreation, culture, education, and community connection for all.

Our mission is enacted by:
  • Advocating for the Park’s value as an essential and enriching contributor to the quality of life in Nashville
  • Resourcing Metro Parks so we can collaboratively ensure the Park’s beauty and vibrancy are sustained
  • Activating the Park by producing, managing, or underwriting numerous accessible events and activities.
What will volunteers do?
  • HCA parking lots - directing cars into the lots and pedestrians across the street
  • Croquet Cafe - directing pedestrian traffic
  • Event Pavilion - hospitality assistance / setup / teardown
  • Event Runners
  • Kidsville assistance with load-in / out and setup 
  • Marketing team assistance
What will volunteers need to bring or wear?
Closed toe shoes recommended, events are held rain or shine - please dress appropriately for the weather.
