Help Canvass in Davidson #winterstorm26
Disseminate information to survivors, including warnings about health and safety hazards, as well as how to receive assistance with immediate and long-term recovery needs.
Volunteers will visit impacted homes to share information and complete damage surveys. This activity involves extensive walking, both from the field staging area to the impacted neighborhood, as well as throughout the course of the activity.
Eat before you arrive and bring a water bottle, if needed. Restroom opportunities may be limited once you are in the disaster area.
Important safety information: Closed-toe shoes and long pants required. Heavy soles and steel toes preferred. Current tetanus vaccination recommended. Chainsaws, utility crews, and heavy equipment will be active in the area. Volunteers under the age of 18 are prohibited from participating.
