Red Cross Damage Assessment Training
One of the crucial Red Cross roles during disaster responses is Damage Assessment.
When safe, Damage Assessment team members go into the impacted community to identify specific addresses which have had a qualifying level of damage for Red Cross Immediate Assistance.
This work takes place in the event of a tornado, flood or other disaster response, and is the first step in identifying clients eligible for our services. The purpose of this course is to prepare participants to conduct Detailed Damage Assessments (DDAs) accurately, efficiently and safely when assigned to a disaster response locally or when deployed around the country.
Disaster Responders deploy out-of-state for two weeks or support locally as needed.
You do not have to set up your Red Cross volunteer account to participate in this training.
