2026 Earth Day Celebration!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the 2026 Earth Day Festival in Centennial Park! This free, all-ages event celebrates our amazing planet and features music, a parade, arts activities for kids, sustainability initiatives and education, great food and drink, local vendors, a free tree giveaway and really good vibes!
Proceeds from Earth Day will fund environmental projects across Nashville including urban canopy restoration, waterway clean-up, bee pollinator programs and more. For more information visit: www.nashvilleearthday.org!
Volunteer Information:
- Minimum age for volunteers: 16 years (unless supervised by an adult)
- Volunteers should expect to be on their feet for the duration of their shift. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle as needed.
- You are welcome to sign up for more than one shift.
- Except for the first shift, please plan to come about 15 minutes early if you can. That way, you'll be signed in and ready to roll when the shift ahead of you needs to be relieved!
- Volunteers are essential to making this event happen! They will be involved in many different kinds of activities including:
- vendor set-up and registration
- parking and traffic monitoring
- "Green Sweeping" litter collection in the park
- Partnering with Waste Management at Recycling Stations
- Assisting the Conservancy Booth with fundraising, merchandise and surveys
- tear-down and clean-up
- Volunteers should expect to be on their feet for the duration of their shift. Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle as needed. Snacks and water will be provided. If you might need a camp chair for breaks, you're welcome to bring one, and there will be limited storage at the Volunteer staging tent.

Centennial Park Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works in partnership with Nashville’s Metro Parks to support Centennial Park and the Parthenon. We preserve, enhance and share the Parthenon and Centennial Park so that all future generations may benefit from these enriching cultural and educational landmarks.
