Social Media Lead
The Social Media Lead helps bring the mission of From Your Father to life online through consistent, engaging content. This role focuses on sharing impact, highlighting programs and events, and helping grow awareness through thoughtful storytelling and visuals.
You will not be responsible for content alone. You will collaborate with the Creative Communications Lead and content team.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule weekly social media posts
- Share program highlights, event promotions, and impact stories
- Maintain brand tone and messaging
- Coordinate with Content and Storytelling Leads for visuals and copy
- Monitor engagement and respond to basic comments or messages as needed
- Location: Virtual
- Time Commitment: 3 to 5 hours per week
- Schedule: Flexible
- Reports To: Creative Communications Lead
Ideal Candidate
- Comfortable using Instagram and Facebook
- Organized and able to follow a posting schedule
- Creative, reliable, and mission-driven
- Interested in nonprofit, marketing, or communications work
- Experience You’ll Gain (Great for Resumes & LinkedIn)
- Social media management experience for a nonprofit organization
- Content planning and scheduling across platforms
- Brand voice development and mission-aligned messaging
- Engagement tracking and audience growth fundamentals
- Collaboration within a creative communications team
- Portfolio-ready social media content
