Volunteer with Purpose - 2026 National Urban League Conference
The Urban League of Middle Tennessee invites you to be part of one of the most significant civil rights and urban advocacy events of 2026. The National Urban League Conference is coming to Nashville, bringing together thousands of leaders, activists, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and changemakers from across the country for four days of powerful programming, meaningful dialogue, and collective action.
As a volunteer, you won’t just support an event; you’ll help shape an experience that advances economic empowerment, educational opportunity, and civil rights for underserved communities nationwide.
Hosting the Conference in Nashville a city rich in culture, education, entrepreneurship, and home to four Historically Black Colleges and Universities, reflects our commitment to honoring legacy while building the future.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are needed across a variety of roles. You may be assigned based on interest, availability, and event needs.
Attendee/Guest Experience
- Check-In Desk Attendants
- Greeters & Ushers

- Accessibility & Inclusion Support
Session Support
- Speaker Support
- Microphone Runners / Room Assistants
Operations and Logistics
- Exhibit Hall Managers and Assistants
- Operations and Logistics Support
- Floater / Runner (on-call assistance across areas)
- Tech Support
Leadership/Coordination
- Volunteer Coordinators / Team Leaders
Additional specialized roles may be available.
Note: Some roles may require specific skills or experience.
Volunteer Shifts
Shifts are typically 2–4 hours, with opportunities to serve multiple shifts across days
Flexible scheduling allows volunteers to rotate and support different areas of the Conference
