Food Pantry Volunteer #sharing
Thank you for choosing to volunteer with Inspiritus. We are so excited to host you in our pantry. For first time volunteers we recommend signing up to an 08:15am-10:15am volunteer shift to allow time to familiarize yourself with the pantry ahead of opening.
Here are all the details you should know before you arrive:
What will I be doing?
- Assisting clients during their visit to the food pantry.
- Assembling food boxes for distribution to families and individuals.
- Building snack packs.
- Restocking the food pantry.
- Cleaning the refrigerators and freezers.
- Picking up the grounds.
What should I wear?
- We operate in an active food pantry, so please wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes.
Instructions Upon Arrival:
- The entrance for volunteers is via the back door of the building.
- There is space to park your vehicle directly alongside the building.
- If the spaces are full, please park on 9th Avenue N.
- After parking, please enter through our back door and await our short volunteer orientation.
Inspiritus Mandatory Waiver:
- If you are under 18, your guardian must fill out the waiver for you.
- If you have already completed a waiver online or in the past then you do not need to complete another.
- If you are unable to complete a waiver online you can complete one on site.
