DPC Fish & Loaves Meal Ministry #sharing
We are always excited to welcome additional volunteers – sign up with a friend, your family, co-workers, or small group! Based on Matthew 25:35-36, we aim to provide a free meal and essential items to those in need in our local community. We also help connect our guests with community organizations that may be able to meet their particular needs.
Volunteers from the local community gather at DPC every Saturday from 8:30am – 10:30am to serve a free sit-down meal, distribute essentials, and offer a space of respite to those in need within our community.Complimentary parking is provided in the SP+ garage on 4th Ave. from 8 until noon. Join us for a shift, and then consider serving just 1 Saturday each quarter, or perhaps even once a month. We love to see returning faces.
Policy for Volunteering with minors:
We require a copy of Hands on Nashville's waiver for all volunteers who are under the age of 18. Please note this activity is limited to volunteers age 13 and up. There are limited and specific spots for youth 14-17. We require a minimum 1:3 ration for youth 14-17. We recommend reviewing Hands On's portal for opportunities to volunteer with youth and children or as a family. There are so many options available!
Advanced approval is required before signing up a group of youth. Email dpcbreakfast@gmail.com or send a message through Hands On before signing up. Our coordinator will follow up with you to determine how we can best accommodate you.
