Partner Order Support Volunteer

Join us as we fight to erase barriers to basic hygiene in Middle Tennessee! The Community Resource Center partners with over 150+ nonprofit agencies, schools, and faith-based communities to provide basic hygiene and household necessities that are not covered by government assistance programs. The CRC currently serves Middle Tennesseans in 7 counties and 9 school districts by supplying hygiene and household cleaning products and through community hygiene pantries. Your work is vital in our relief efforts in serving Middle Tennesseans who struggle to afford basic hygiene necessities such as shampoo, soap, deodorant, period care products, diapers, dental products, household cleaning products, and more.

We’re seeking friendly, reliable Partner Order Support Volunteers to join our warehouse team! This vital role supports our Warehouse Associate by not only helping pull hygiene and household cleaning product orders, but also by assisting our nonprofit partners during the order pickup process — especially by helping load items into their vehicles.

This is a great opportunity for volunteers who enjoy a mix of behind-the-scenes work and direct interaction with the amazing organizations we serve.

Responsibilities:

  • Pull and organize hygiene and cleaning product orders from warehouse inventory.

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of outgoing orders.

  • Greet and interact with nonprofit partners during order pickups.

  • Assist partners by loading boxes into their vehicles, offering a positive and helpful experience.

  • Follow warehouse safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Physical Requirements and Accessibility:

  • Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift and carry boxes weighing at least 25 lbs using safe techniques.

  • Using Safety Ladder: Comfortable using a 4-step rolling safety ladder to access higher shelves.

  • Physical Mobility: Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the warehouse for the duration of the volunteer shift.

Dress Code:

  • Wear comfortable clothing suitable for a warehouse setting and appropriate for the weather.

  • Closed-toe shoes are required for your safety.

Why This Role Matters:
Your support ensures our nonprofit partners have a smooth, supportive experience — from pulling the right supplies to helping them get those supplies safely into their vehicles. You'll be a key part of our mission to serve communities with dignity and care.
