Community Garden Family Fridays

Cosecha Community development exists to gather neighbors together to foster community along the Nolensville Pike corridor of South Nashville.

We have a community garden in the Glencliff (37211) area that we welcome you to visit on Friday mornings when Metro Nashville is in school. The garden serves as a learning space for students, volunteers, and the community to grow food; learn about different types of produce; and promote fresh food access in our community.

We invite you to come to the garden to help, meet other families and neighbors, and take home fresh produce, herbs and flowers.

As a volunteer, you may help:

  • Sow and harvest plants as needed
  • Water and weed existing garden rows
  • Prepare garden beds for planting
  • Spread wood chips around the garden

Please consider bringing:

  • Please wear closed toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
  • Most of the garden is in full sun. Consider bringing a sunhat or visor.
  • Bug spray is never a bad idea to bring to hang out outside!
  • Bring a water bottle, hydration is important!

What about the weather:

  • If it is raining, we will cancel.
  • We do not plan to cancel due to cold weather. The exception is snow or ice. Be safe!
