Virtual Volunteer Writer
2nd Chance 4 Pets needs help writing newsletter articles, web content, press releases, fliers, brochures, and various promotional materials for 2nd Chance 4 Pets. Ongoing projects may include letters and grant applications. This role requires a 6-month commitment.
This person should have: The ability to respond to emails and agree to realistic deadlines, an interest in helping animals, and an understanding of issues related to pet overpopulation.
This opportunity requires strong written communication and organizational skills. Editing in MS Word using “Track Changes” is required. Flexibility in a resource-limited environment will be helpful.
2nd Chance 4 Pets’ mission is to help pet owners plan for the possibility that their pets might outlive them. The all-virtual-volunteer nonprofit provides resources and lifetime pet care solutions to pet owners, veterinarians, and members of animal welfare organizations to ensure the lifetime care of companion animals. We are committed to providing pet owners with information that will help them plan for their pet’s continued care should their pets outlive them. Volunteers will make an impact by assisting with virtual projects, which help to prevent unnecessary euthanasia and reduce the strain on overburdened animal shelters and rescue organizations, while also providing pet owners peace of mind.
