2nd Chance 4 Pets
http://www.2ndchance4pets.org2nd Chance 4 Pets is a national 501c3 all-volunteer nonprofit organization established to reduce the number of pets unnecessarily euthanized each year due to the death or incapacitation of their human companions. More than half a million pets in the U.S. are surrendered to animal shelters when their owners pass away. Since the inception of 2nd Chance 4 Pets in 2004, our volunteer team has recruited virtual volunteers located all across the U.S. We lead workshops and distribute our free educational materials to responsible pet owners, veterinarians, animal rescue and shelter groups. We also work closely with national and regional organizations such as Meals on Wheels. Our volunteer team established a satellite office in Franklin, TN in 2011. We always welcome the help of experienced individuals who can volunteer from home (virtually) who are skilled as writers, editors, project managers, creative designers and in web research. Our volunteers donate their time to help our organization in our efforts to save the lives of pets and provide pet owners with peace of mind. (Please note, we are an advocacy group. We are not a pet rescue group and we do not take in unwanted pets.) We welcome virtual community service volunteers who have extensive experience and advanced skills in writing, editing, web research, public relations, fundraising, grant writing and project management. All community service volunteers are required to complete a volunteer questionnaire and report their completed hours weekly. We do require a 40 hour, 4 week commitment for all community service volunteers.
