Opportunity Details

Weed Wrangle at Belle Forest Cave &. Arboretum with Tenn Green

TennGreen Land Conservancy is honored to once again participate in the Weed Wrangle in conjunction with The Garden Club of Nashville.

Volunteers will use loppers, shovels, and weed wrenches to manually remove invasive plants from the forest.

Please wear long pants, protective shoes, and long sleeves. Gloves and tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Please bring your own water bottle; we will not provide plastic water bottles but will have a water cooler to refill your containers. We will have light snacks available as well.

Restrooms are not available on site. Volunteers will be asked to sign a liability waiver and photo release form during the registration process.

Weed Wrangle® is a one-day, area-wide, volunteer effort to help rescue our public parks and green spaces from non-native invasive species through hands-on removal of especially harmful trees, vines, and flowering plants. Supervised by an expert in invasive weed management, Weed Wrangle® volunteers learn, practice and begin a habit of maintaining an area free of non-native invasive plants and encourage replanting with natives in removal areas. By engaging our neighbors and challenging them to take action in their own spaces, we hope to create a movement that will have the greatest impact on the invasive plant population.
The opportunity date and time you are looking for is no longer available.
