Weed Wrangle at Glen Leven Farm with The Land Trust for Tennessee

 
Join our Weed Wrangle at The Land Trust for Tennessee's Glen Leven Farm and help in the effort to remove invasive Bush Honeysuckle and control harmful vines growing on the property.  Volunteers will receive a thank-you gift for the challenging but rewarding work!  
 
Volunteers should bring their gloves and are encouraged to bring their own shovels and hand trowels if they have them.  Please wear closed-toe shoes, pants and long-sleeve shirts, and dress in appropriate layers for the weather.  Volunteers should bring a water bottle. 
 
The Land Trust for Tennessee's mission is "To preserve the unique character of Tennessee's national and historic landscapes and sites for future generations."  Founded in 1999 by conversation-minded citizens, The Land Trust for Tennessee works with communities, landowners, families, governments, and partner organizations and businesses to identify and save important natural and historical places.  More information is on our website. www.landtrusttn.org/news-events/events/ 
 
Weed Wrangle® is a one-day, citywide and statewide volunteer effort to help rescue our public parks and green spaces from invasive species through hands-on removal of especially harmful trees, vines and flowering plants.

Hands On Nashville (HON) encourages all volunteers follow CDC guidelines by getting vaccinated and wearing a mask indoors, including at service opportunities. 
 
However, this project is led by our partner organization, and they will determine COVID safety measures at the event. If you have questions, please reach out to the opportunity coordinator listed below.
