http://www.yourheartonart.orgOur mission is to facilitate expressive emotional healing through art and creative expression for those who are living in grief, pain, stress and fear. The vision of YOUR HEART ON ART is to assist adults and children suffering from the emotional impacts of abuse, illness, grief, fear or stress through individual workshops and community programs that offer expression, encouragement, clarity and insight. By helping people communicate through art and creativity, each participant experiences a catharsis of relief that benefits them and the community at large, including at-risk and underprivileged youth recovering from child abuse, substance abuse, and gang-related trauma. This method also helps families dealing with chronic and life-threatening illnesses cope with the emotional, spiritual, and physical impact upon their lives. By expressing themselves creatively, participants can document their experience in a profound way, thus creating a healing environment for themselves.
