DVL Training - Leading Volunteers During Disasters
Note: This training is only available to individuals who are part of the DVL program and have taken the Level 1 Orientation training.
Hands On Nashville is thrilled to offer another training opportunity to members of our Disaster Volunteer Leader program. This virtual training focuses on Leading Volunteers
During Disaster and covers these topics:
- The leadership aspect of the DVL role
- Volunteer leadership best practices and general tips
- Leading with a focus on equity and inclusion
- Caring for yourself, volunteers, and survivors
- Conflict styles and conflict management
We will end the training with a scenario-based discussion that will involve common problems that arise when leading volunteers.
The purpose of this training is to give DVLs the tools necessary to lead community members to complete volunteer projects in hazardous disaster zones.
