Assist with a Shift at TGCR's Creative Reuse Center #spring

Join Us at the Turnip Green Creative Reuse Center!

Are you passionate about the environment, art, or promoting sustainability in your community? The Turnip Green Creative Reuse Center is the heart of our efforts to reduce waste and encourage creative reuse. To date, we've diverted almost two million pounds of materials from landfills, giving them new life through our shop and programs. These materials are then used by community members, artists, educators, and creatives of all ages.

By volunteering for a shift at the Reuse Center, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our ever-evolving needs. Your work may include deconstructing items for creative reuse, assisting with donation intake and sorting, packaging materials, and maintaining our aisles.

What You’ll Need:

  • Check in at the front desk upon arrival.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy, closed-toe shoes for safety.
  • Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated (we provide a water station).
  • There are restroom facilities on-site.

Important Notes:

  • Sign-ups are for individuals only. If you plan to bring a guest, please email us in advance as this may not always be an option.
  • The Turnip Green Creative Reuse Center closes at 4:00 PM. Please ensure you’ve arranged transportation before this time.

Before signing up, please contact us if:

  • You would like to request a half-shift.
  • You need group volunteer opportunities (5-10 people).
  • You are under 18 years old.
  • You have specific questions or require accommodations.

Thank you for helping us reduce waste and inspire creativity in our community!
