Earth Day Festival 2025 #spring
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Nashville Earth Day on Saturday, April 19th! This free, all-ages event is a day to celebrate our amazing planet. It's also a day of education on how to live a more sustainable life!
There will be food trucks, beverage tents, local vendors, music, activities for kids, and a speakers tent with continuous presentations all day. Proceeds from Earth Day will fund environmental projects across Nashville including urban canopy restoration, waterway clean-up, bee pollinator programs and more. Earth Day takes place on Saturday, April 19th from 11 AM to 5 PM in Centennial Park
Minimum age for volunteers: 16 years (unless supervised by an adult)
Volunteers should expect to be on their feet for the duration of their shift. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle and a portable chair or a blanket to sit on if needed.
Shifts Available:
- 7:30AM to 10:15AM - Set-Up
- 10:15 AM to 1:00 PM - First Event Shift
- 1:00 PM to 3:45 PM - Second Event Shift
- 3:45 PM to 6:30 PM - Final Event Shift & Tear Down
If you register for a shift, you MUST be present for the ENTIRE SHIFT (unless special arrangements are made through the Volunteer Coordinator). If you do not stay for your whole shift, your hours will NOT BE APPROVED. Please check in periodically at the
Volunteer Desk to be reassigned as needed.
Examples of Volunteer Duties:
- Vendor set-up and registration
- Green Sweeping in the park to collect litter
- Partnering with Waste Management at Recycling Stations
- Assisting the Conservancy Booth with fundraising, merchandise and surveys
- tear-down and clean-up
Our Mission:
Centennial Park Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works in partnership with Nashville’s Metro Parks to support Centennial Park and the Parthenon. We preserve, enhance and share the Parthenon and Centennial Park so that all future generations may benefit from these enriching cultural and educational landmarks.
