Program Assistant - Wishing Chair Productions at the Main Library
Are you passionate about making magical experiences for children and families? Do you have a warm and welcoming personality with the ability to gently guide and assist guests? Join us as a Program Assistant for Wishing Chair Productions, the Nashville Public Library’s renowned puppet theater program!
What You’ll Do:
- As a Program Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging experience for our guests. Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcome children and families to our performances with a friendly and open demeanor.
- Help enforce theater rules gently but firmly to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Accurately count and record the number of audience members for each performance.
- Take initiative to guide guests, answer questions, and provide directions as needed.
- Support the Wishing Chair Productions team in creating a magical atmosphere.

- Enthusiasm for working with children and families.
- A kind and approachable personality with strong communication skills.
- The ability to be assertive and proactive while remaining polite and respectful.
- Attention to detail and a knack for staying organized.
- Dependability and a willingness to assist where needed.
