Bilingual Volunteers Needed for One-Year Commemorative Event - #tornado23

As we approach the one-year anniversary of the December 2023 tornadoes, it's crucial to acknowledge the potential for increased emotional distress related to this life-altering event. To support our community, the Davidson County Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) is organizing a commemorative event centered on wellness resources for all those affected by the tornado. The event will feature food, art projects, community speakers, and more.

We are seeking bilingual (Spanish/English) volunteers to assist participating organizations with translation.

Important Information for Volunteers:

  • Volunteers should be prepared for extended periods of standing and walking and must be able to lift at least 20 pounds.
  • Please wear closed-toe shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Staying hydrated is essential.
  • If you are a HON Disaster Volunteer Leader, kindly wear your orange T-shirt. All other volunteers should wear a HON yellow-lime T-shirt. If you don’t have one, T-shirts will be provided at the event.

Further details will be shared via email as we approach the event date. Thank you for your support!
