Annual Event Committee Volunteer
Volunteer Description:
- Responsible for sitting on the Annual Event planning committee and helping to plan and prepare for the agency’s Annual Event in Spring 2022.
- Solicit in-kind and financial sponsorships and auction items
- Plan and execute logistics of the event
- Event marketing and promotions
- Secure food and drink donations or purchases using the provided event budget
- Work with Annual Event Chair and Executive Director to identify prospects and relationships
- Work as an event volunteer the day of and contribute to the event’s overall smoothness
End Date: Spring 2022
Time Commitment:
- Approximately 3-4 hours per month, however time commitment may vary slightly throughout the planning term.
- Must be able to attend scheduled meetings determined together by committee; Meetings will take place virtually and later in-person following COVID19 guidelines.
Required Skills, Interests or Education:
- Enthusiasm for planning a fundraising event
- Attend meetings scheduled with committee
- Attend event as a volunteer or paying guest (event is in Spring 2022)
Beneficial Skills, Interests or Education:
- Event planning and execution experience
- Experience with running a fundraising event
- Experience working with charities
- Experience fundraising or soliciting auction items and prizes
Dress Code:
Planning Meetings - Casual
Event – TBD
Location of position:
- Meetings take place virtually, at POVA Studio & Gallery in East Nashville, or at a Nashville location determined by committee
- Event location TBD
- Planning/prep work would often be done from home
Training Required:
- An introductory package will be provided
- If attending event as a volunteer, event training will be provided immediately prior to event
