Volunteering Information Session
Hands On is happy to provide an informational session (virtual or in-person) about volunteering. These sessions typically last 45-60 minutes and include an overview of Hands On’s mission, why it’s important to volunteer, how to create a volunteer account and sign up for volunteer projects, and what to expect at a volunteer project. Of course, we can also customize the content specifically for your team.

Disaster Volunteer Leader training with your team
When disaster strikes, Hands On partners with the city of Nashville and United Way of Greater Nashville to recruit and manage volunteers for recovery efforts. We rely on trained Disaster Volunteer Leaders to coordinate these efforts to make our disaster response as effective and efficient as possible. From leading volunteers as they clear debris to helping our team with administrative tasks, we need leaders like you to help us meet the unforeseen needs of survivors in our community.
This 60-minute training will cover:
- Hands On's disaster responsibilities and disaster response program
- Your role
- Volunteer leadership
- Standard operating procedures
- What to expect before, during, and after a disaster occurs
After signing up, make sure your skills profile is up to date by clicking here. Pay close attention to the Disaster Response section of the form.
